Last night a ground breaking movie resurfaced from the depths of the 90’s cult classic vault…

This movie birthed the inspiration of a line of video games, funny sounds for Schwarzenegger soundboards http://www.realmofdarkness.net/pc/sb/arnold/13 , and a mildly entertaining remake with Colin farrell and two ridiculously hot actresses (Jessica Biel and Kate Beckinsale).

That’s right Total Recall! Some of you out there might be wondering “what is it like compared to the original?” well that’s what this review is all about… Young Arnold versus Colin Farrell.

LIGHT  SPOILER ALERT!!!

I’m going to start this off with a list of Pro’s and Con’s: Young Arnold pro’s: original story, Arnold one liners, epic beginning to end

Young Arnold Con’s: outdated, slightly cheesy (which I think really is a pro)

Colin Pro’s:  Catherine zeta-jones and Megan Fox short of having all the hottest brunettes in Hollywood,  better music, better graphics, better fights, cool robots and grappling energy weapon thing.

Colin Con’s: changed ending to a crappy one, nothing memorable, it’s the same exact story right down to the chick with 3 boobs

One thing I thought was a pretty big difference was that in the original about half of the movie takes place ON mars…. New one…no mars? Why did you have to make the whole beginning of the movie exactly the same as the first and then change the ending to a complete crap of an ending…

Really in comparison to the old one the list of pro’s I made are the only things that make this movie anything special nothing cutting edge or terrific about it. However, viewers rated it much better than the critics as you can see at imdb.com http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1386703/so if it looks interesting, give it a look…. My opinion from having watched the original is; rent the new one on DVD don’t go see it in the theater.
